For those wanting to "get away from it all," Beaver Lake State Park is the perfect destination.  Located on the west shore of Beaver Lake, the park's gently rolling prairie provides scenic views for leisurely walks on the 2 extensive trail system.  During the summer the lake provides opportunities for boating, canoeing, water skiing, fishing and swimming.

The park is the product of efforts by early settlers in Logan, McIntosh and Emmons counties.  Working together they persuaded state officials to make the area a state park.  Beaver Lake State Park recently marked its 80th anniversary and is the second oldest park in the state system.  For visitors this serene setting offers three beautiful camping cabins near the lake's shore; a campground with full service, group and primitive camp sites; picnic shelters; boat ramp; docks and much more.

Beaver Lake State Park is open year-round with events and interpretive activities scheduled throughout the summer.  There is a $5 vehicle entrance fee with camping and shelter rentals coming at an additional cost.

Campground: 25 RV sites, 5 primitive, 3 group sites. Campsite and cabin reservations can be made online at www.parkrec.nd.gov or by calling 800-807-4723.
