Experience the Missouri River and its river valley as did the earliest of people living along its banks at Cross Ranch State Park.  The park is located along seven miles of the last free-flowing, undeveloped stretches of the river and is rich in both cultural and natural history.

North Dakota's Centennial State Park is purposely left primitive to preserve the land's natural beauty.  The River Peoples Visitor Center has displays and information about the once mighty Missouri River, which is now tamed through a series of major dams and reservoirs along its impressive length.  A boat ramp and electrical camping sites can be found at the Sanger Campground.  The park's main campground offers RV sites without electrical hookups, spectacular log cabins, yurts and a primitive tent area.

Cross Ranch State Park offers visitors adventure year round.  It has an extensive trail system for hikers where they can glimpse the creatures which inhabit the thickly forested river bottom.  The park is a winter playground for those who like to play in the snow.  Equipment rentals include canoes, kayaks, snowshoes and cross country skis.

35 Primitive RV sites, 15 electrical, 15 tent sites, group camping sites.  Campsite, yurt and cabin reservations can be made online at www.parkrec.nd.gov or by calling 800-807-4723.
