Biking Trails

Welcome!

Biking is the perfect way to exercise and experience our community at the same time! Both Bismarck and Mandan Parks and Recreation Districts have incredible trails that weave through the cities and flank both sides of the Missouri River. Please check back often as we will be updating this page with information to make planning your visit to Bismarck-Mandan easier than riding a bike!

The total trail systems in Bismarck-Mandan have now grown to a combined total of more than 100 miles of recreational and interpretive trails! They provide access to virtually all the recreational venues in Bismarck and Mandan. When you are on the trails, you can truly “get from here to there,” from Pebble Creek Golf Course on the east side of Bismarck to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan.

The reservoir measures 38 feet at its deepest point. Rock fishing piers and a boat ramp and dock provide access opportunities for those to enjoy the lake. Two sandy beaches are located along the shore of the lake. Harmon Lake is a no wake waterbody, meaning boats must travel at a slow idle speed. Personal watercrafts are not allowed on the lake. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and cutthroat trout fingerlings. Camping is available. There are 33 individual spots and two 5 camper group pads, all with electricity. Individual sites are available on a first come first served basis, unless you rent a shelter.
