"Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne said it and Ashley Alderson lived it.
In 2007, Ashley, then Andrews, became the first lady of professional rodeo as Miss Rodeo America 2007. On the road for 320 days out of 2007, Ashley traveled as an ambassador not only for the sport of rodeo, but for her home state of North Dakota and for the life lived in rural America. While Ashley's story graced newspapers and magazines nationwide, it was her real story which began that year prior as Ashley was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, cancer of the lymph nodes. It was her positive attitude, free spirit and determination that helped her manage six months of chemotherapy while reigning as Miss Rodeo North Dakota that gave her the grit to become Miss Rodeo America. Ashley's presentation inspires hope, determination and appreciation for life in the comfort of North Dakota. You will leave with a whole new outlook on how a sense of humor can get you through life's many challenges.

My program is composed of three different, get powerful parts, the first of which is my introduction. I usually prefer to greet the audience in an enthusiastic and high-energy manner. The crowd will usually become talkative as I encourage them to greet those people around them. The next portion of my performance is reserved for speaking. Usually organizations will request that I speak on a certain topic, but periodically I will be asked to use my own discretion. The topics that I choose from range from those that are educational to those that are focused on motivation. Regardless of the topic, the message is clear, clean, and creative. The last portion of my performance is powerful! I use a mix of music to create a mood that inspires me as I draw. The audience watches as a beautiful picture unfolds. They are changed as they realize the meaning that it has for them individually.

POPULAR KEYNOTES:
Life by Design
In a world full of complexity, competing demands, and occasional chaos, it can be tempting to go through the motions of life and work in order to just get through it. Teresa uses the metaphor of a shade lowering on our lives as we experience unfulfilled dreams, disappointments, and failure. Eventually, we have a limited view of what’s possible.
This session helps “raise the shade” to picture new possibilities and reignite the sparks of purpose and passion. This session is based on Teresa’s book, Life by Design. You’ll relate to her stories and her journey and benefit from the lessons she’s learned along the way. After this session, you’ll be inspired to live and work more intentionally knowing you can make a positive impact every day.
From Surviving to Thriving; achieving well-being when all isn’t well
The 1983 cover of Time magazine called stress the epidemic of the 80’s. Is it just me, or do you think it’s gotten worse? Now more than ever, our well-being is important, so let's talk about it. We’ll discuss the good news and the bad news as it relates to stress, a formula that can help you focus on what you can control, healthy habits, the value of shifting perspective, and more.
The 7 Mindsets for Success
If everyone wants to be happy and successful, why do so many people settle and never realize their full potential? A multi-year, multi-million dollar study gives us the answer; researchers found there are 7 mindsets that contribute to happiness and success. The surprising reality is that most people think in direct opposition to these mindsets. These mindsets can positively impact job satisfaction, engagement, productivity and even workplace safety. Embracing these mindsets can have a dramatic impact in your professional and personal life. This highly engaging and inspiring session is based on the book, The 7 Mindsets to Live Your Ultimate Life by Scott Shickler and Jeff Waller.
The 7 Mindsets by Faith
Research indicates that there are 7 mindsets proven to lead to more meaning and success in your life. And, Romans 12:2 tells us that we can “be transformed by the renewing our of mind.” This session dives into the mindsets that matter most and provides the Biblical foundation for each of the mindsets. Come intrigued, be engaged, leave inspired.
Leadership from Within; Re-igniting the Passion
We all have numerous leadership roles; at work, at home, in our communities, and in-service organizations. Add the demands of a world with increasing complexity and uncertainty and it’s easy to become overwhelmed. With so many priorities competing for our time, how can we be inspired to lead and be effective role models in all areas of life? Learn how in this interactive presentation and leave refreshed and ready to tackle challenges!

From Rogaine to Road Kill, from the pitfalls of parenting to the process of aging gracefully (or not), from the birth of a baby to the demise of the 8-track tape, Gordy's family friendly comedy is guaranteed to make you laugh, make you cry . . . make you laugh so hard you cry.
Called the "Victor Borge of the Guitar," Gordy's unique performance style brings laughter to music and music to laughter. Gordy mesmerizes audiences as he plays Bach and Bluegrass in the same breath, Mozart on "12 cups of good, strong cowboy coffee," and a foot-stomping turn of "Classical Gas".
A veteran entertainer, extraordinary guitarist, comedy writer and published songwriter, Gordy has performed his stand-up musical comedy show as The Original Fabulous ONE GUY for hundreds of corporations, associations, and other organizations, large and small. Gordy also does a full-length concert, performed throughout the United States, and a historical show: "Seth Bullock: The Spirit of the West". He has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, where he sang "Days of '76", an original song from his "Seth Bullock" show, and opened for Kenny Chesney, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Beach Boys and many more.
Gordy studied music and classical guitar at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY: the Royal College of Music in London; and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has produced several CDs which can be purchased through his website.

Land in Hand is a husband-wife musical duo comprised of Joel and Alyssa Land. Joel was born and raised in Bismarck and they met in Tennessee while in college studying music. The pair has been performing and writing music together for over 5 years now. Their first joint music endeavors were for weddings or special events and as they continued to be asked to perform, they started writing original songs and completed their debut album in December of 2019 titled "Unexpected Wonderful". This album was entirely self-produced and all the instruments were recorded as performed by Joel. His primary instrument is saxophone (alto and tenor), but he is proficient on piano and guitar as well as flute and clarinet. Alyssa is a superb vocalist with extensive performance history as a soloist and among varied choirs. Se has incredible command and draws emotion from audiences of all ages. Their performance is usually acoustic duet with guitar accompaniment. They are quick to learn songs and perform them at or above the level of the original. You'll have fun with them and enjoy an unforgettable musical experience!

Now comes “THE RIVER CALLS”
Including pioneer roots in North Dakota, Marcia Tabram Philips, aka “Chocolate,” award winning author, historian, speaker, educator and chef, shares life's lessons mixed with humour, helping others in their daily journey ( parenting, job seeking, wellness, relationships, end of life, history )
With ancestors among the 102 who crossed the Atlantic on the Mayflower, celebrating the first Thanksgiving, and deep roots in historic Trenton & Washington Crossing, NJ and Gettysburg, PA, by pure happenstance, I ended up traveling alongside the St. Charles Corps of Discovery reenactors as they relived, as written in the original Journals, day-by-day, the Lewis and Clark 200th commemoration anniversary.
While sitting around the campfire in North Dakota, I realized history was before me and that I was the only writer, author, journalist and photographer on the trail recording their 21st century historic reenactment. After years of interviews, research, writing and rewriting, and reviewing by descendants, historians, and editors, THE RIVER CALLS finally hits the press.
My goal is to share the real raw history in the words of Lewis and Clark and the reenactors who walked in their path 200 years later showing you the similarities, challenges and dedication of true adventurists while enticing you to travel the Lewis and Clark trail with your families. See you on the Trail!
We proceed on … as … THE RIVER CALLS

A Christian motivational talk anchored with humor and my love for God! We can make life good by the way we choose to see it and live it. It is our choice to amaze ourselves everyday with all the great things we can do. Let's keep away from the easily crumbling ledge of "The Pit". It is so much harder to get out of the pit than to keep a safe distance away! Let me share "my story" with you and work on together keeping God in our hearts.

Have you ever fallen in "The Pit" from a life changing ordeal? Did you cry out to our Lord? Did you try decorating the pit since there wasn't any decorating down there what so ever?
STAY Away from "The Pit". It is so much harder to get out than to keep a safe distance away!
God will not forsake us. He will help to get our passion and joy back. I will "passionately" give you many decorating tips. It all has to do with balance and color, not how much you spend!
Remember: JOY is NOT just a feeling . . . it is a commitment!!

The Kids on the Block program uses an entertaining and educational medium of puppetry to teach children about social concerns, mental health issues and disability awareness. Lively and upbeat scripts create an environment of open communication for both children and adult audiences. Each performance concludes with a question and answer period with the audience asking questions directly of the puppets. During this time, myths and misconceptions are replaced with facts and sensitivity.
